Link to Movies from PowerPoint Presentations (For PC) |
This example uses
the QuickTime file format, MOV. The machine you use for your
presentation must have a QuickTime player installed. Most computers in the lecture theatres have QuickTime installed as standard. |
In your presentation, create a blank slide and type an
appropriate title. Highlight the text, click on insert and scroll
down and click on "hyperlink" |
When you are giving your presentation, click
on the text and the QuickTime player will launch separately from
PowerPoint. Your movie may start automatically, or you may need to click
on the play arrow in QuickTime. You can enlarge the size of the
QuickTime player, but there is not a "full Screen" option.
It may be possible for us to convert your "MOV" file to a format that will play within PowerPoint. If you have purchased QuickTime Pro there is an option to save in other formats. Please contact me if you have questions about this or any other PowerPoint issues. If you are confident using third party programs, you may be able to to get your QuickTime movie to play in PowerPoint by following this guide
